The Bicyclone full height turnstile ensures smooth inclusive entry of authorised pedestrians, bicycles, wheelchairs, mobility scooters, large volume items and trolleys through the point of entry.

This twin full height turnstile rotor operates bi-directional, allowing ingress and egress, one person on foot at a time through the turnstile.

However, here’s the clever bit. Depending on the access control configuration and authorisation rights of the user, the Bicyclone full height turnstile is capable of performing any, but not limited to the following operations:

only the pedestrian rotor turnstile to unlock and rotate
only the side swing gate to unlock and open & close
both pedestrian rotor and side swing gate to unlock together

Furthermore, any of the above can be achieved by human manual intervention either locally or remotely via Intercom and/or CCTV.

The ability to have the secure integrity of a full height turnstile combined with the benefit of an automated side gate alongside permits options that previously were not available.

The Bicyclone full height turnstile opens up autonomous options and full DDA compliance for wheelchair and mobility scooter users through this secure access gate.

Full height turnstiles for pedestrians, wheelchair users and cyclists

We call it the Bicyclone because it was originally designed for people to access secure areas with their cycles.

However with a few design changes, the Bicyclone full height turnstile now permits multifaceted easy access for authorised pedestrians, wheelchair users, mobility scooters, cyclists with their cycles, trolleys, push chairs etc.

Furthermore, the full height side gate also can act as an open, free-flowing emergency gate if an evacuation is required.

Bicyclone full height turnstiles are available in two general configurations, X and Y type rotors. Named appropriately based upon their shape when viewed from above.

X rotors are 4 rotating segments (angled at 90 ̊ to each other)
Y rotors have 3 rotating segments (angled at 120 ̊ to each other)

X rotor configuration has a 570mm passage width
Y rotor configuration has a 650mm passage width

They are designed to be suitable for an outdoor installation, without an additional canopy or extensive alterations.

The Bicyclone full height turnstile can be integrated with any type of access control system.

A choice of additional devices can be integrated within the turnstile housing including for example; RFID / Proximity or BioMetric readers, coin acceptors, push button, barcode and QR-code readers, passage counters.

With a brushed or polished stainless steel finish, this double lane full height turnstile will suit any surroundings. However, if preferred, a RAL powder coated version is also available.
