Introduction to Speedblade Speed Gates

Security Made Easier

The TiSO Speedblade speed gate is a very modern, contemporary, waist-height access control barrier that operates on the sliding panels principle.

A well built, reliable speed gate that can be configured to either a normally open or closed operation.

Normally Closed – The most common way of configuration. The barrier’s panels are always in the closed position. They will only slide open when the signal to do so is given by the access control system (see options below) or manual override.

Normally Open – The barrier’s panels are always in the open position. They only slide close when a person is detected entering the turnstile that has not presented an acceptable form of ID to the access control, or has failed a detection test. For example: body temperature or facial recognition with/without a mask etc.

The Speedblade speed gates can be integrated with any type of access control system.

A choice of additional devices can be integrated within the Speedblade cabinet housing including for example; RFID / Proximity or BioMetric readers, coin acceptors, push button, barcode and QR-code readers, passage counters.

Of course since the out break of the COVID-19 pandemic, the TiSO Speedblade speed gates are now available with optional automated body temperature testing and/or facial recognition to detect those with or without a face mask.

The entire TiSO speed gate and turnstile model range are configurable to be controlled in either, an automatic, or manual mode.

In the automatic mode, the glass panels are opened/closed determined by the signal from an access control system such as a proximity ID card, key fob, biometric reader, facial recognition, body temperature detection control etc
In the manual mode, the glass panels are opened/closed according to the manual command given from a control panel often positioned at a reception desk or a remote position perhaps from being CCTV monitored.
